The inspiration for Estd. comes from the many examples of ‘heavy duty mono-linear’ inscriptions found on floor tiles in French churches in the Basque country. Built from multiple sources and now digitally reimagined, the typeface has an advanced character set supporting multiple languages and numerous font weights.
